There is no better comfort food than mac & cheese. With just a few simple ingredients, you can put this meal on the table in no time. Serve nice and hot, sprinkle with chili flakes and enjoy!
Ingredients
250 g
macaroni pasta
200 g
cashew nuts
2 gloves
garlic
140 ml
plant based milk
1 tbsp
nutritional yeast
2 tsp
mustard
1/2
lemon juice
pinch
salt and pepper
1/4 tsp
chilli flakes
How to make

Soak the cashews in boiling water for 10 minutes.

Drain and add the nuts to the blender, along with the garlic, plant based milk, nutritional yeast flakes, mustard, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain the pasta - saving a little of the cooking liquid - and return it to the pan over medium heat.

Stir the sauce into the pasta and heat for 5 minutes. Is your sauce too thick? Pour in a little cooking liquid. Serve the macaroni with chili flakes.
