Tips & tricks
- If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the handle of a wooden spoon instead.
- Be careful not to over-muddle; the mint leaves can become bitter if crushed too much. That’s why I usually squeeze the lime a bit first.
- To make it sweeter, swap soda water for lemon/lime soda or add sugar while muddling the lime and mint.
- To turn it into a cocktail, add a shot of rum (for a classic Mojito), vodka, or bourbon, along with the crushed ice.
